They have to have said no to a client
We ask every candidate to describe a time they told a client not to do something. If they can't, they haven't been practicing advisory, they've been practicing sales.

Deep expertise in one domain
We don't hire generalists. Every advisor owns a specific area, market analysis, legal structuring, client relations, and is the best person we could find for that role.

The client is their reference
Before any internal assessment, we ask for a client reference. Not a manager, not a colleague. A client who went through a difficult situation.

Long-term thinking, not transaction thinking
